December 28, 2016. We ran a mystery shop across the market — the same lead, sent to every store, to see who would answer and how.
The replies came back the way they always do: auto-responders, copy-paste templates, a few quick calls. All interchangeable. All forgettable.
Except one. David McCaig at Porsche of Beachwood was the only salesperson in the entire market who replied with a personalized video. He used a name. He talked like a person. He made a stranger feel like a customer he already knew.
He set the gold standard — and he proved a point we couldn't unsee: the thing that wins isn't a better script or a faster auto-reply. It's a real person, showing up. People buy from people.
So we asked the obvious next question. If one video could do that, why was only one salesperson in the market sending them? Not because the rest didn't care — because nothing made it easy, fast, and measurable.
We built CarFilm so every store could have that salesperson. Not one. All of them.
